Tom Maddrey’s Video Production
I had a rare treat starting this week with Tom Maddrey. I have taken a few of his classes and I go to his once a month business meetings. He made an offer to some of his students to take a few of his classes for free by participating as the audience in his videoing of his classes. He had rented a studio and it was a full production with sound, lights and everything. And the most important part, we had catered food on the set. It was fun and I learned so much. Tom is very personable and so willing to impart any knowledge he has to help someone. He is one of my mentors.
Toward the end of the week, he had flown in Janie Hewson, a very famous personal Marketing Strategist. She was tough, to the point, but a funny person. I thought I had read it all but I learned a lot. She made me show her some of my work and we had some good serious talks. She said she will call me to check up and see where I have gotten. So this coming week I will work her plan and lay it all out. I can see why she is paid top dollar to help start a photography career or to get one moving again. She is damn good! I also got to do her set makeup while the makeup artist stepped out. I think all the guys were too scared of her to do it. I can see how she can get a business flying right. I know I don’t want to take that call if I haven’t worked on her plan.
It just keeps falling in my path.
