Videoing with Neill Whitlock and Tom Maddrey
I participated in the videoing of “Seeing the Light” by Neill Whitlock. Neill is as nutty as they come and we were all in for the ride.
I was asked by Tom to come and be a part of the audience (2) to help engage the speakers he had lined up to do instructional videos in photography. You know me; I can certainly engage speakers even if I don’t get to talk. We had done some videoing a week or so before, but this time, Neill chastised us because we didn’t have at least a small point and shoot camera on us at all times. And so I took Tom’s point and shoot research and went right out and got the Canon G10 14.7 mega pixel point and shoot camera. It will stay on me at all times.
So next morning, I got my new camera figured out quick, turned off the auto flash, the sound and the focus assist (all the things that the point and shoot people at Antelope Canyon, AZ should have had off) and started documenting Neill’s videoed instructions. It is pure fun to document an event. I always totally lose myself. Sorry if some are a bit shaky. I’m used to a much faster shooting camera and it was very low light.
So here are some photos. I even got to get a little web design work done in the down time which is the 1st photo.
