Capturing the Sparkle
I was recently asked to capture the sparkle which got me to thinking because I always called it capturing their essence or their true spirit. I guess it would be the same.
So with the next person to photograph I set out for the elusive sparkle. Boy was it elusive! This is a good friend and it was still very hard to get it. In fact, he was probably the hardest I will have for a while. It was very difficult to use the techniques I use on others. He keeps himself a bit walled off. The only time you can see his sparkle is when he tells a joke or he gets in his element. He is a life coach and is very much in his element when he wants to help fix someone. We got it but there were plenty of duds.
