A bit of Sports Photography

The teams were exciting to photography.  On one of the games, a team would get within 2 feet for a goal and lose the ball.  Then the other team did the same thing.  The game was almost zero to zero before one of the teams finally got a goal just before the game ended.  Another time, they all came right at me and ended up on the ground all around me.  The coach thought they were going to plow me down. I used my 2.8 70-200 zoom with a 2x extender on the Canon 1ds MkIII and could still stay off the field.  I have no regrets on getting this camera.  There are plenty of pixels to crop with and even these jpegs are gorgeous.  It shoots very fast and saves fast.  I set my camera to spot focus from the rear so my thumb is holding it in focus like a video camera while the capture finger is set to grab a frame when it presents itself.  Fun! Fun!

    Hi Noni.

I’m processing some of your images and I want to tell you how much I appreciate your talent. Just fantastic images. Great compositions. Wonderful exposures. Just a pleasure to view.

In fact, I feel obligated to tell you that your talent, in my opinion, will be wasted at XXXXXXXX.
