Soccer in the 50 degree rain!

Soccer tournament at Celebration Park in Allen Tx held in rain with heavy overcast and very low light shooting for Autumn Street Action Photos. Still so cool! Shooting mostly 1600 and 3200 iso with a 1ds MkIII canon with a 70-200 lens and a 2x extender which put me to 5.6 f stop. Yeah I know, I could have shot without the 2x and bumped up the jpeg size to crop it all so that I could get the 2.8 f stop. Its debatable.

Camera just wouldn’t stop. Rain didn’t faze it. I did put a plastic cover over it all but it was such a slow downpour and everything was still very damp. Rain gear and water proof hiking boots paid off but I’ve got to get better with covering the hands. Hot tub was nice later that evening after 10 hours on the fields.

Next day they canceled the tournament with 63 degree sunny weather. I was just about to pull out my sun screen spray. There were some very mad teams that had traveled a long distance and after playing in the cold rain. I don’t get it either.
